Neighborhood Beautification Day

This Saturday, June 8th: Neighborhood Beautification Day + Shredzilla: Join the neighborhood in greening, and cleaning tree pits and graffiti. Bring your sensitive paperwork to FDC and dispose of it safely.

At 1PM we will be conducting a tree planting and dedication to Robert Pandolfo in Newkirk Plaza.

We have incredible volunteer opportunities from 10 am to 2 pm. Come out and help us beautify the neighborhood, and join us for the volunteer BBQ afterwards! If you are spring cleaning, don’t miss the opportunity to shred your documents at our annual Shredzilla event as well!

There will be three locations for volunteering –

Cortelyou Road – Join neighbors and business owners who will be neatening the tree pits and planting as well.

PS 152 – will have volunteers working the immediate area. Please feel free to stop by and lend a hand.

Newkirk Plaza – We will be planting, pruning and painting throughout the Plaza.

Please feel free to join us for a fun-filled volunteer opportunity. If you have a few spots that you know of in the neighborhood, you can stop by and pick-up supplies to tackle mailboxes, fire hydrants and lamp posts!

The Shredding Truck will be running from 10am to 2pm outside 1616 Newkirk Avenue.
