Immigration Counseling Services:
FDC staff works one-on-one with over 300 immigrants from the Caribbean, Asia and Latin America to provide immigration services, including; work permits, citizenship and entitlements. Our full time immigration specialist offers free assistance in obtaining citizenship, filing green card applications, renewal, or replacement for refugees, persons seeking political asylum, and new immigrants and their families. Between 1990 and 2001, the number of foreign-born households made up 60.1% of the Community Board 14 population, and are growing every year. Our FDC staff is fluent in; Vietnamese, Cantonese, Cambodian, Spanish, Haitian Creole, French, Italian, and English.
Financial Literacy Program:
FDC provides financial literacy education in multiple language formats to meet the needs of low-income immigrant individuals and families living in Flatbush, Brooklyn. In order to continue our efforts at preserving affordable housing, FDC will offer financial literacy workshops on debt reduction, cleaning up your credit. This program is designed to empower immigrants and low income individuals to improve their financial lives and create savings goals such as buying a house, saving for education or open a business. FDC organizes workshops and provides support materials in English, Spanish and Creole.

ESL Course:
FDC offers ESL/Family Literacy courses to new immigrant youth, parents and families. This program is offered on Saturdays at P.S. 21.
