FDC works closely with the
Newkirk Plaza Merchants Association to
improve their stores, storefronts, attract new businesses, and address
community issues as they arise. FDC does this by working with government
agencies and local elected officials to enhance the overall appearance
and safety of the Plaza. By securing funds from Assembly members
Jim Brennan and Rhoda Jacobs, and Council Member Yvette Clarke, FDC
was able to bring a beautiful wrought iron fence, decorative paving,
lights and banners to the Plaza. With capital funds from Borough
President Marty Markowitz, we will be adding the finishing touches,
which include a bike rack, planters, and a Clock at each end. |
