Flatbush is served and protected
by the officers of the 70th Precinct of
the New York City Police Department, led by Deputy Inspector Eric Rodriques.
The “Seven-O” precinct is located at 154 Lawrence
Avenue (11230) west of Ocean Parkway. The 70th , is one of
13 precincts under the command of Brooklyn South Patrol,
led by Assistant Chief Joseph Fox. Brooklyn South is located
at the northern edge of Flatbush — on Park Circle
at Coney Island Avenue, near the entrance to Prospect Park.
The precinct has several divisions and units that address
different kinds of crimes. The officers that residents
most often come in contact with are “beat” officers
of the Community Policing Unit. To find the officer assigned
to your area, call the CPU at the number listed below.
The Police Department has a substantial web site that provides
information about divisions and special units in the department.
It provides regularly updated crime statistics by patrol
division and precinct. For a link to crime statistic pages
