Learn, Play and Explore!
The K134 LEAPS Program is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every young person we serve. Rooted in the belief that children learn best through hands-on experiences, LEAPS provides a dynamic and engaging environment where learning extends far beyond the classroom.
Through a rich variety of activities, participants are encouraged to discover new interests and develop essential life skills. Our cooking experiences introduce youth to basic culinary techniques while promoting healthy habits, teamwork, and cultural appreciation through food. Chess sharpens critical thinking, patience, and strategic problem-solving, empowering students to think several steps ahead both on and off the board. Dance offers an expressive outlet that builds confidence, discipline, and an appreciation for the arts.
A key pillar of LEAPS is cultural exploration. Students are exposed to diverse traditions, perspectives, and histories, helping them develop a deeper understanding of the world around them while fostering respect and inclusivity. Complementing this is our focus on project-based learning, where youth actively engage in meaningful, hands-on projects that encourage creativity, collaboration, and real-world application of knowledge.
The K134 LEAPS Program is more than an afterschool experience, it is a space where imagination is nurtured, talents are discovered, and every child is empowered to learn, grow, and thrive through play and exploration.
