Something exciting is coming to Flatbush for the 2026 World Cup! FDC’s Fútbol in Flatbush 2026 will bring live match screenings on neighborhood sidewalks, cultural celebrations, family activities, and small business events to commercial corridors across Flatbush.
We’re excited to create a space where participants can build skills, stay active, and celebrate the spirit of the game together. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to share more. Stay tuned and follow along for upcoming events, partnerships, and ways to celebrate with the community all tournament long.

- Thursday, June 11 – 5:30 PM | Start of the World Cup! Mexican Chinelo Folk dance performance in Newkirk Plaza
- Saturday, June 13 – 4:30 PM | Specials & Free sidewalk performance Capoeira w/ Capoeira Vida on Cortelyou Rd @ La Puerta Roja
- Friday, June 19 – 4 PM | Steel Drums Sidewalk Performance on Cortelyou RD (location TBD)
- Wednesday, June 24 | Capoeira w/ Capoeira Vida demonstration in Newkirk Plaza
- Sunday, June 28 | Newkirk Street Fest! – A full day of music, rides, food, shopping, and festivities!
– This is the only “street festival” taking place as part of Futbol in Flatbush and the ONLY opportunity through the season that welcomes the sales of food and other merchandise at our events
