The Flatbush Frolic September 21

The Frolic will run along Cortelyou Road between Ocean Avenue and Coney Island Avenue.  Admission is free, though food, rides, and vendor goods are individually priced.

Enjoy a wide variety of attractions. The event will feature a lively collection of food booths offering everything from local favorites to global flavors, along with a wine and beer garden that adds to the festive atmosphere. Dozens of artists, crafters, local businesses, and nonprofits line the streets with tents, turning Cortelyou Road into a vibrant open-air market.

Live music is a major highlight of the day, with multiple stages hosting bands and performers throughout the afternoon. The Frolic is also known for its family-friendly entertainment, offering pony rides, carnival games, a rock-climbing wall hosted by the NYPD, pizza-eating contests, and creative activities like murals, crafts, and even chess challenges for kids.

If you plan to go, it’s smart to arrive early. Popular food stalls and rides can sell out, and arriving at the start of the day gives you a chance to explore everything at a comfortable pace. While many vendors now accept cards, cash is still a faster option at many booths.
