Purchase Tickets and Ads Now Join Us at the Picnic House in Prospect Park on May 1st, 2018 (6:30-10:30pm) in celebration of the vitality of Flatbush! Honoring: 2018 Leadership Award: Eric Gonzalez, Brooklyn District Attorney 2018 Impact Award: Bea De La Torre, Managing Director of Housing at Robin Hood 2018 Lifetime Service Award: Nicholas Correra, Newkirk Plaza Association President Emeritus Our Annual Benefit Gala, held every May in Brooklyn, is FDC’s most important fundraiser of the year. FDC’s integrated and holistic approach goes well beyond basic grant funder mandates. However, this does not come without a cost. Closing our organization’s operating gap is a significant issue that we must address directly since government funding does not equal FDC’s actual cost for providing the necessary and valuable services and events we provide our community members. Lowering FDC’s standards is not an option. Together, we will help FDC maintain its commitment to excellence. CLICK HERE for Ticket Sales, Sponsorship Opportunities, Journal Ads, Tribute Donations, and Auction Donations! Please join us on this special day as we honor The Honorable Eric Gonzalez, celebrate the tireless contributions of Bea De La Torre, and thank Nick for his years of dedicated service to our community. This year we are excited to be joined by Award-winning live event painter Katherine Gressel, who will create a painting onsite of the entire party while guests watch – which will be auctioned off during the night! By the end of the party, as the painting nears completion, the winning auction bidder will have the option of having his/her portrait painted into the picture before taking the painting home. Katherine was also the featured... read more
