Flatbush: Where Art Meets Community! Pt. 1
Visit the beautiful Newkirk Plaza-Marlborough tunnel entrance mosaic!
The Mosaic!
Have you seen the beautiful Mosaic by the Newkirk Plaza- Marlborough? Started by local artist Juan Carlos Pinto, this is more than just public art—it reflects the creativity and spirit that make Flatbush one of the coolest neighborhoods in the world. Since the creation of the first Mosaic twelve years ago, many more artists and community members have joined the Recycle Project and contributed to the piece. 🌍💛
Over the last couple of years, the Marlborough/Newkirk Plaza tunnel has had a renaissance, in which FDC has played a key role in supporting. This is one of the many Public art initiatives we have supported over the last decade, turning our streets into galleries and celebrating the diverse voices that make our community so special.
